| Calton Centre closure |

As some of you may already know, the Calton Centre is sadly closing its doors for the time being on Friday 29 September. Unfortunately the Centre is in need of fairly major investment to ensure its long term future and at present it just can’t afford to stay open. The Calton Centre provides a great service to various community groups and its closure, temporary or otherwise will be a huge loss to the area. The Centre has been home to the ESDS for the last 8 years so we were extremely sorry to hear the news. As a result this week’s class, on 28 September, will be the last Thursday class in the Centre. Don’t panic though, classes will continue. We are currently sorting out the details of where our Thursday sessions will be in the future and will let you know as soon as possible. We are hoping to have something in place for Thursday 5 October and will let everyone know via email and the website as soon as this is confirmed. This Thursday however classes will be as normal in the Centre, but we will be having a few drinks and nibbles during our social dancing and will be raising our glasses to toast the Calton Centre. |
